Why should I study Paul’s letter to the Ephesians?

You should study Paul’s letter to the Ephesians so you can realize how richly blessed you are if you have believed in Jesus. You will walk away from studying this book with a greater grasp of the Triune work of God, predestination, election, adoption, and salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. You will gain a greater appreciation of his astounding grace, a deeper understanding of man’s sinfulness, a higher view of the nature and mission of the church, and more clarity of what it looks like to walk in a way that is pleasing to the one who died, rose, ascended, and is Lord of all and head of his church - Jesus Christ himself. Don’t read this letter if you don’t want your heart to be moved to erupt in praise and thanksgiving to the Father through the Son by the Spirit.

May the Lord, through the study of this letter, “grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God” (Eph 3:16-19).
