When: Friday, June 17th @ 8:30am. Meet at the church. Rides will be provided. Return around 3pm.
Where: Loft is taking a trip to the Musem of Tolerance located in Los Angeles. It is a museum designed to examine racism and prejudice around the world with a central focus on the history of the Holocaust.
Why: We have such a great opportunity in the summertime to participate in fun events and hangouts. We praise God for such times. This summer, loft leaders wanted to take additional time to add in opportunities we think would help strengthen the Christian perspective of our students. The nation of ISrael is significant and the Jewish people are dearly loved by God. We want to give students a biblical perspective of the Holocaust, the suffering of the Jewish people and what that should look like for us in witnessing to them today.
How: We will be reserving our group time for 10AM. Taking into account a mini lesson, driving time, parking and other factors we are asking students to be at Redeemed no later than 8:30am. Tickets are $18.
Additional info:
-Nathan Montgomery, who works closely with Friends of Israel, will be giving us insight into evangelism to Jewish people and the importance of loving the Jewish people.
- We desire for parents to be involved in this field trip as much as possible! The history of the Holocaust is a heavy topic and going through a museum having visuals of that history may be overwhelming at times.
- We will stop for lunch after the Museum. Please have your student bring some cash.
RSVP No later than Friday June, 10th.
If you are a parent interested in coming or you are interested in havin your student attend please contact Emily Lewis (310) 561-0754.
