Pastor Warren Chun

Warren is currently on staff at Redeemed South Bay and is a founding Pastor-Elder since December 2013.  He oversees all of the church’s financial matters.  He has led and served in small groups at Hope Chapel in various capacities from 2000 to 2013.   From 2007 to 2008 he served on the Church Council and subsequently as an Elder from 2009 to 2013.  Warren also served on the Youth Ministry Staff at Bread of Life Church where he oversaw the evening high school group from 1991 to 1996.   He is passionate about shepherding, equipping, and building community. 

Warren grew up in Hawai’i and graduated from McKinley High School.  He attended UCLA where he earned a BS in Applied Mathematics.  During his junior year, he professed his faith in Christ at a bible study at the Treehouse.  Warren has worked in the financial services industry for 25 years.  At one point in his career, he was a portfolio manager and managed $500 million in convertible bonds.  For the past 5 years he has been consulting pension plans.  He also earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1999 and is currently a member of CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Los Angeles. 

His passions include spending time with his wife Mia and two boys Jacob and Isaac.  His family especially enjoys the outdoors such as hiking or water activities.  Aside from anything that is finance or UCLA, he loves researching things, reading, finding great deals, playing strategy games with his sons, volunteering, career coaching, and is active in the Redondo Beach community.
