Proposition: In Mark 10:17-27, we see what it truly takes to inherit eternal life through the negative example of the rich, young ruler and the astonishing teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ.

1. The negative example of the rich, young ruler (vv. 17-22)

2. The astonishing teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ (vv. 23-27)
   a. With man, it is impossible
   b. It is only possible with God.
