Faithful in Life & Death (Genesis 48)

INTRODUCTION:

MAIN IDEA: Genesis 48 sets forth three principles to embrace in order for you to live more fully for God’s glory, your good, and the benefit of those under your influence – even in the face of death – in view of divine blessing.

  1. The past informs the present (vv. 1–12)

  2. Without THE Benefactor behind the blessers, the blessings, and the beneficiaries … no good comes (vv. 13–20)

  3. Divine promises, when embraced, deliver from death by dying to self (vv. 21–22)
