Our God is to be Worshipped (Psalm 100)

Sermon Notes:

Main Idea: Psalm 100 provides both the object of our worship as well as the manner of our worship so that we may properly acknowledge God as our creator and redeemer and worship Him with gladness and thanksgiving.

  1. The exhortation to worship. (vv. 1-2)

    a. Worship is expressed through:

    i. Joyful shouting (v. 1)

    ii. Glad service (v. 2a)

    iii. Heartfelt singing (v. 2b)

    iv. Thankful gathering (v. 4)

  2. The reason for our worship. (vv. 3, 5)

    a. The LORD alone is God (v. 3a)

    i. He is the creator (v. 3b)

    ii. He is our shepherd (v.3c)

    iii. He is good (v 5a)

    iv. He is loving (v. 5b)

    v. He is faithful (v. 5c)
