Prioritizing Impartial Prayer (1 Timothy 2:1-7)

Main idea: 1 Timothy 2:1-7 calls believers in the local church to prioritize praying for all peoples without partiality so that we may live in peace and protect and proclaim the saving work of Jesus Christ for all peoples!
How should we pray? (2:1a)
a. Pray all kinds of prayers!
Who should we pray for? (2:1-2)
a. Pray for all kinds of people!
Why should we pray this way? (2:2b-7)
a. The goal: to what end? (2:2b)
i. To live a peaceful and quiet life
ii. To live a godly and dignified life!
b. The ground: for what reason? (2:3-7)
i. There is no partiality in God’s salvation (v.4)
ii. There is no partiality in Christ’s mediation (v.5)
iii. There is no partiality in Christ’s ransom (v.6)
iv. There is no partiality in Christ’s commission (v.7)
